The villages where most of the children live that we’ve intervened with, have no power supply. For those that do, very few families can afford to pay for the power supply service. Families therefore resort to using kerosene lamps which emit smoke that is unsafe for human health. One of the villages we are involved with-Nakyere village, is a very remote area where access to light especially for the children to be able to do their homework becomes hard, so, we thought that providing reading lamps would help provide clean. This has also boosted the children’s performance in schools because they can now be able to revise and do their homework even after the sun goes down.
God has connected us with a supplier who sells clean easy to use solar lamps at a subsidized price and we have already supplied solar lamps to 30 families. Buy a family one or two solar lamps by giving 40.000 or $10 for one.
